    Kobe vs. Lebron this season

Alright since Fang thinks Kobe is better than Lebron, lets break it down and see who is REALLY superior

Lets first start with Scoring and Shooting

    Lebron James:

    26.1 ppg on 49.6 FG%, 58.4 TS%, 52.8 eFG%
    Shooting % At Rim: 70.8 (260/367)
    Shooting % from 3-9 Feet: 43.6 (68/156)
    Shooting % from 10-15 Feet: 44.2 (46/104)
    Shooting % from 16-23 Feet: 42.0 (149/351)
    33.6 3P% (78/232)

    Kobe Bryant:

    24.8ppg on 45.4 FG%, 54.9 TS%, 48.8 eFG%
    Shooting % At Rim: 66.5 (155/233)
    Shooting % from 3-9 Feet: 47.8 (100/209)
    Shooting % from 10-15 Feet: 51.2 (109/213)
    Shooting % from 16-23 Feet: 38.0 (151/396)
    32.0 3P% (91/284)

Obviously Lebron is better at the rim and that is still where he gets most of his points, but surprisingly he is slightly better at 3s and long range shots. Kobe still has a far better mid-range game, most likely due to him posting up and what not. FG% is strictly the percentage of shots that you make from the field, which don't include free throws. TS% or true shooting percentage, is a measure of shooting efficiency that takes into account field goals, 3-point field goals, and free throws. eFG% is a stat that adjusts for the fact that a 3-point field goal is worth one more point than a 2-point field goal. For example, suppose Player A goes 4 for 10 with 2 threes, while Player B goes 5 for 10 with 0 threes. Each player would have 10 points from field goals, and thus would have the same effective field goal percentage (50%).

So I'd say, Kobe is still the better shooter overall but Lebron is the more efficient player beating him in in FG%, TS%, and eFG%. And since he averaged more points Lebron is also the better scorer this season.

Lebron also has more 40+ point games this season

Which makes him the better scorer overall with Kobe being the better shooter.

Also random stat: Kobe is on pace to have the most missed shot attempts in NBA history when he isn't even in the top 5 for total points and is behind 10,000 points form Jordan Laughing

LOL screw it this is just a PWN Kobe Bryant fan thread

Kobe in his finals career has SEVENTEEN games where he has shot under 40% while Jordan only had 4 games where shot under 40% in the finals

Kobe - 14/3/5 in his first finals game ... MJ - 15/3/5 in his first finals game .. in the FIRST QTR

Mike outperforms Kobe in a single qtr in their Finals debut!
