    That's not how it works. They're just a reproduction of a brand drug. It won't be released to public if it didn't work. It gets checked by the FDA.

    Well because generic drugs are cheap and don't bring in ridiculous amounts of money.

    Their cheapness makes it a benefit for Patients. And oh yes, all drugs being profit. It's just that brand makes double the decent profit.

    Okay dude you do realize that the American healthcare system is one of the most horrible moneymaking schemes ever, right? And it's really really good at making money. They don't make as much with generics.

    Umm...you do know that Insurances always switch to generics when they come out right? Trust me, I speak from experience.
